Earth Hour 2009 has come and gone. As a candle maker who enjoys highly fragrant candles, I have been testing different soy candle ingredients from my home. Testing soy candle ingredients to find the best ingredients to make triple scented soy candles has been a very long and detailed process. This process will never stop. There will always be something new to test because candles are very exciting and almost everyone enjoys them. Global Warming is a huge and detailed subject that scientists are having a hard time explaining. Climate change is blamed on humans, electricity, gas, and oil use. I am sure paraffin wax will be blamed in some part for the huge problems we face today with Global Warming. This is unfortunate in today’s high tech world. Candle making and helping people become aware of fragrances, waxes, wicks, and such is what I do. The new soy wax I use is biodegradable and will clean up well. When using this wax along with zinc or cotton core wicks there isn’t any black soot build up as many fear from candle use. I am proud of this. I am also a grandmother who enjoys spending time with my wonderful and very normal smaller aged grandchildren. We tried to partake in Earth hour 2009. Unfortunately when you are a grandmother who enjoys candles and candle making I know that I want some other form of light source apart from candles to take care of my beloved grandchildren.
